Recently I “sat down” (i.e., called over the internet on opposite sides of the planet) with Pete at CaptainFI.com to do an episode for his podcast, and I think we were both amazed at how much we had in common.
For example:
- We both have advanced degrees in aerospace engineering, have worked in the aerospace industry, and have done research on optical navigation for aerospace applications
- We both struggled with back pain in the past
- We both achieved FI in our 30’s
- We both are super interested in FI and the FI community
- Pretty sure other things I can’t remember right now
All of that despite living and growing up 15 time zones apart! Pretty crazy how small the world is sometimes.
